Wow!
Anatomy for beginners.
Certainly not everyone’s cup of tea (don’t follow the link if you are the least bit squeamish…really you won’t like it).
This is what I call ground breaking television. Live anatomical dissection. Channel 4, 11pm.
I’m not bothered by the gore aspect, but I can’t get my head around the fact that what is being chopped up was once a living breathing person. I find myself wondering about them.
I can’t quite formulate what I mean into words.
If you can, take a look. It’s very interesting and very well presented.
P.S. Prof. Von Hagens does remind me of the Gestapo Officer from Raiders of the Lost Ark. I think it’s the hat.

I’ve just put a new version of my employer’s website live.

Take a look at the new Target Marketing Communications site and tell me what you think.

Ok, Ok – so I’m a bit late on this one. I’ve just been busy doing other things than thinking about my website.
For a start I’m thinking about those affected by the Tsunami and I feel a little helpless. At the back of my mind though I can’t help feeling that some good may come out of the disaster. I hope that we, as a species can start actually working together for the greater good. I pray that this will show that really we are all friends and there is no time or point in bickering over land, oil or religious beliefs. It’s a shame that elements in the middle east have taken little notice of what is going on elsewhere. For fucks sake, give it a rest and let the resources being poured into trying to install democracy in Iraq be used to help the millions suffering in the wake of the Tsunami. Show some compassion. Your god would demand it.
Something I am starting to see is really bugging me. There seems to be a little competition running (at least in the minds of some American politicians) as to who is giving more. America, apparently, rocks because it is giving so much. Well, that’s very nice. You can afford it. I am sure the American people are giving all they can out of a sense of what is morally right. Not to be at the top of the list of donators. Why must it all come down to who is giving more? It’s sad that people think that way.
I also noted the “Donated by the USA” stickers on the sides of aid packages. Don’t miss that PR/Advertising opportunity will you. How about using the money that was spent on those stickers to feed, clothe and provide shelter for someone? I don’t give a hoot that the aid package came from the USA, and I am sure the recipient would be as grateful if it came from Switzerland or Colombia. It’s irrelevant and to me at least shows a degree of arrogance and cynicism that I find repugnant.
Before someone shouts “Anti-American”, I have no idea if aid packages from the UK have a picture of the Queen and “Rule Brittania” plastered over them. If they do… it’s just as bad. I just happened to see some footage of the American aid effort on the news last night
Oh well, have a happy new year
