I went to a Radio Controlled Aircraft Large Model show at the weekend. Wow!

Honestly, I was blown away by the whole thing. So much so that I intend to take up a friends offer of flying with him in the future.

It was literally amazing what some of the pilots could do, and these weren’t little buzzy models, no! They were big things. 161 inch wingspans, petrol engines, smoke and cool stunts. Magic.

I will put some pictures up soon, but for now there are some (quite large) videos available here to whet your appetite.

To round it all of, it was a lovely warm and sunny day (makes a change lately) and sitting with a pint of cider, the largest Roast Pork Roll in the world and watching the aerobatic display was a great way to spend Saturday afternoon.

Chocs away chaps

By the way, the title of this post is the noise a model aeroplane makes ;-) .
