Anatomy for beginners

Wow!

Anatomy for beginners.

Certainly not everyone’s cup of tea (don’t follow the link if you are the least bit squeamish…really you won’t like it).

This is what I call ground breaking television. Live anatomical dissection. Channel 4, 11pm.
I’m not bothered by the gore aspect, but I can’t get my head around the fact that what is being chopped up was once a living breathing person. I find myself wondering about them.

I can’t quite formulate what I mean into words.

If you can, take a look. It’s very interesting and very well presented.

P.S. Prof. Von Hagens does remind me of the Gestapo Officer from Raiders of the Lost Ark. I think it’s the hat.

Like you, I think this is brave, but brilliant TV.

It’s done very scientifically, but with respect for the people who the specimens once were. It’s very interesting & the guy who does the exlplaining is very clever and very interesting!

Apparantly Von Hagens met the people he is dissecting several times before they died!
