Drains and Norton Internet Security

What a lovely afternoon. Out in the rain and cold with my arm down a drain filled with putrid water. It got even better as it got dark.
Eventually I managed to dislodge the big lump of grease and soap powder that was blocking the bloody thing.
Once I’d finished cleaning all the crap up and cleaning all the tools I came in for a nice hot bath, used half a bottle of mint and tea tree shower gel and I still stink of the bloody thing.
Bah!
Oh yes, and then there is Norton Internet Security. The single most problematic piece of software I have ever come across. After it performed a LiveUpdate to keep itself fresh and sparkly, it decided that it was in my best interests to no longer be able to send or receive email.
My softly, softly approach to fixing the problem wasn’t getting me anywhere so I adopted an approach similar to my drain clearence techniques. Ram the damn thing hard and keep poking it until it gets the message… and it worked. Who says violence never solved anything (probably someone who got punched in the face a lot)
If anyone knows of a decent alternative to Norton for antivirus and firewall protection, please, please, please tell me about it.
Bah again!
Hmmm dunno if McAfee is any better at this .. but why the hell not give it a try. I use it in conjunction with Zonelabs, ofcourse all *cough* patched
I use AVG now, Norton just got too bloated for me. Free version has no firewall however.
Tried Norton last week, didn’t work out as i liked….Always come back to F-secure Anti virus client. It’s a basic security suit with firewall, ant-virus and anti-spyware. It’s very gentle with your CPU.
By the way; i love your style in webdesign!
Cheers,
